Dear UNJSPF Beneficiaries, Participants and Stakeholders,

The Fund has received a number of inquiries regarding the CEO Letter and its Annual Report.

The Management of the Fund has decided to produce one annual flagship publication which would combine both. This publication will be distributed after the audited financial statements are presented to the UN Pension Board in August. It will be widely distributed by email and by post, and it will be published on the UNJSPF Website.

The Fund has also developed a quarterly newsletter (March, June, September, December) which brings timely and important information to its members.

Attention retirees and beneficiaries, certificates of entitlement (CEs) were sent out in early June. You can also access your CE through MSS.

Each person in receipt of a benefit from the Fund must annually sign and complete a Certificate of Entitlement (CE), provided their benefit was in payment during the six months prior to 01 May 2018. The Fund uses the CE to verify the continuing eligibility of retirees and beneficiaries to the benefits they are receiving.  The CE with the retiree’s/beneficiary’s original signature/thumbprint must be returned to the Fund as soon as possible and no later than 31 December 2018 to avoid the risk of a benefit suspension. The CE can be returned to either our Geneva or New York offices.

2017 Pension Annual Statements are now available in MSS

This first quarter of 2018 (Q1 2018) Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) letters were sent to concerned beneficiaries and are available in MSS. Only those beneficiaries whose Cost of Living changed by 2% would receive this letter.
