The Fund has been informed by its bank that it has ceased all payments to Mali effective with the January 2022 benefit payment, following sanctions imposed on Mali by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on January 9, 2022.

Only XOF (West African CFA franc) pension payments to Mali are affected.

The Fund is exploring alternative payment channels and will provide updates on its website once new information becomes available.
