Having graduated with Honors in Business Administration at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, Aliamane returned to his native Comoros Islands where he worked as Financial and Administrative Manager for a travel and tourism company (Tropic Tours & Travel). He then worked as Administrator and Accountant of the UNDP/GEF funded Conservation of Biodiversity Project that led to the creation of the Moheli Marine Park and its protected areas. Having successfully passed the National Competitive Exam (NCE) in 2000, he joined UNJSPF New York in February 2001 as Associate Finance Officer to head the team looking after the Pension Adjustment System. In October 2003, he became Deputy Chief of Payments Unit, in charge of Payroll, where he played an important role in implementing the Banking Interface. After a short stay in UNJSPF Geneva as Finance Officer, he returned to UNJSPF New York in 2006 as Finance Officer to lead the team that handles Bank Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable in Accounts Unit. In 2008, he returned (again) to UNJSPF Geneva as Finance Officer and was appointed as Chief of Client Services in 2012. In April 2017, he was appointed as Chief, Finance, Client Services and Records Management Section, in charge of providing advice and services to the UNJSPF Clients in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In April 2020, he is appointed in New York as Chief of Operations Support Section (OSS). This section, which has staffs in New York and Geneva is in charge among others of the Certificate of Entitlement process, Operations procedures, Training of Operations Staffs, Training of Staff Pension Committee Secretariat staff and Pension Focal Points, and maintaining the liaison between the Fund and the Member Organizations in view of streamlining the separation process.
