Retirees and beneficiaries: second mailing of the 2021 Certificate of Entitlement

The second mailing of the 2021 Certificates of Entitlement (CE), dated 31 October 2021 has been dispatched by the UN Mail and Pouch Services to 15,924 retirees and beneficiaries from whom the Fund had not received their original duly completed barcoded 2021 CE form and/or who had not issued their 2021 Digital CE (DCE) using the Digital CE App by mid-October 2021. We hope these CE forms will reach all concerned within the next few weeks so that they can return it to the Fund within the required time frame. In case you are one of those who, at today’s date, still have not received your 2021 CE form nor issued your DCE in the DCE App, please read on for guidance on what to do to complete the requirements of the annual CE exercise in a timely manner and prevent the possible suspension of your UNJSPF benefit.

The Fund requires all retirees and beneficiaries to complete the annual CE exercise by 31 December 2021. This means that you must return your annual proof of life to the Fund by year-end 2021 in one of the following ways:

  • Electronic submission of your paper-based CE form: you should first date and hand-sign the 2021 CE form, then scan the document to create a PDF or JPEG and then upload the scanned CE form to the Fund inside your MSS account. MSS Document upload guidelines are available here.
  • Mailing of your paper-based physical CE form to the Fund: you should first date and hand-sign the hard-copy 2021 CE form, then mail the original form to the Fund (by pouch, special courier or postal mail). The Fund’s mailing addresses are linked here.
  • Issuance of your biometric Digital CE (DCE) inside the DCE App: you can provide your ‘proof of life’ in biometric format through the DCE App. However, at this time, unless you are already enrolled in the DCE App or have an enrolment appointment with the Fund before 31 December 2021, we recommend using one of the options above as all 2021 DCE enrolment appointment slots have been taken for 2021. If you are interested in using the Digital CE App for the 2022 CE exercise, we advise you to download the app and schedule your video appointment as soon as possible. For detailed DCE guidelines, please refer to our website.
