Mr. Aliamane Bacar Said, a national of Comoros (African States) was appointed as Chief of Client Services (D-1) in November 2025, having served the UNJSPF for 25 years. Having graduated with Honors in Business Administration at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, he returned to his native Comoros Islands where he worked as Financial and Administrative Manager for a travel and tourism company. He then worked as Administrator and Accountant of the UNDP/GEF funded Conservation of Biodiversity Project that led to the creation of the Moheli Marine Park. Having successfully passed the National Competitive Exam in 2000, he joined UNJSPF New York in February 2001 as Associate Finance Officer. In October 2003, he became Deputy Chief of Payments Unit, in charge of Payroll, where he played an important role in implementing the Banking Interface. After a short stay in UNJSPF Geneva as Finance Officer, he returned to UNJSPF New York in 2006 as Finance Officer to lead the team that handles Bank Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable in the Accounts Unit. In 2008, he returned to UNJSPF Geneva as Finance Officer and was appointed as Chief of Client Services in 2012. In April 2017, he was appointed as Chief of Finance, Client Services and Records Management Section, in charge of providing advice and services to the UNJSPF Clients in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In 2020, he came back to Operations Service in New York to head the newly created Operations Support Section.
