Important message to participants and beneficiaries from the Fund’s Management regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation

6 March 2020

The continuing and rapid spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), with outbreaks appearing now in multiple countries, is a growing source of concern for all of us.

In this context, the Fund has a business continuity management system in place to minimize the impact of significant disruptions.

Hence, the Fund does not foresee any disruption for beneficiaries who receive their monthly benefits through wire transfer, as these benefits are transmitted electronically through the banking systems.

At this stage, our priority is also to ensure the health protection of the Fund’s Staff, in compliance with the UN guidance and local authorities’ prescriptions.

In this regard, to prevent further spread of COVID-19, we are reassessing the opening hours of the Geneva Office’s clients’ walk-in service.

Please call the Geneva Office or send an email before planning a visit.

Contact by phone or through the contact form that you can find on our contact us webpage remain unaffected.

We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will continue to keep you informed of any significant development as necessary.
