To continue receiving UNJSPF benefits without interruption, all retirees and beneficiaries must submit to the Fund an annual proof of life, the “certificate of entitlement” (CE).
As at 30 October 2025, 8603 retirees and beneficiaries had not yet submitted their proof of life to the Fund. If you're one of them, a second copy of the form has been mailed to you. Once you receive it, please sign, date, and return it as soon as possible to avoid a possible suspension of your benefits.
Alternatively, you can use one of the following ways to meet the annual proof of life requirement:
- Use the Digital CE (DCE) App: Submit your proof of life using biometric verification on your smartphone or tablet. It’s fast, secure, and paper-free.
- Submit the Paper CE Form: Retirees and beneficiaries not paid on the two-track can download their CE in their Member Self-Service (MSS) under the DOCUMENTS tab. If you are paid on the two-track you must wait for the paper version sent by the Fund. Once you have the form, choose one of these submission methods:
- Upload via MSS: After signing and dating the CE form, scan and upload it in PDF or JPEG format using the “Document Upload” feature in MSS. Once submitted, there’s no need to mail the original form. This option is available to everyone, even if you are paid on the Two-Track.
Note: MSS now requires re-registration and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for improved security. For help with MSS or MFA setup, visit the About MSS webpage, or email [email protected].
- Mail the Original Form: Sign, date, and mail the original form with your signature to the Fund at the addresses provided on the Contact Us page.
- Drop off in person: Drop-boxes are available at the Fund’s New York and Geneva offices. Check the Contact Us page for details on their locations.
